Case 1: Documenting Contact Lens Fittings and Follow-up Care

In the first webinar in this series, Mary is getting contact lenses for the first time. Dr. Lane will walk through documenting a complete new contact lens fitting, including follow up care using an EHR.
Case 2: Documenting a Complete Patient Encounter from Scheduling to Optical
Wednesday, August 24th at 12pm CT
In this case, Brad has been experiencing increasing difficulty reading since his last eye exam. Dr. Lane will address the complete encounter from scheduling to pre-testing to the OD's exam to case resolution. He'll also demonstrate frame and lens styling with the optician.
Case 3: Documenting Pre and Post Op Cataract Care

Mavis, age 75, is an established patient who presents with cloudy vision in both eyes that has gradually been getting worse the past 6-8 months. In this case, Dr. Lane will demonstrate the advantages of communication between co-managing care teams, both pre and post-op, while staying on schedule.
Case 4: Documenting Diagnosis, Treatment, and Initiation of Open Angle Glaucoma

In this webinar, George reports blurry vision even with his 12-month-old progressive spectacle prescription. Dr. Lane will demonstrate how to record a case resulting in a diagnosis and treatment initiation of open angle glaucoma.
Meet Dr. Ian Lane
Dr. Lane is an experienced HIT Executive, and an accomplished lecturer and writer with almost 30 years of extensive ophthalmic and global experience. Dr. Lane owned and operated a highly successful private practice in Anaheim, California, until choosing to devote his efforts to bringing the best Practice Management and Electronic Health Record products to the optical industry. Currently, Dr. Lane serves as VisionWeb’s VP of Professional Relations.
